Caring Optometrist Dr. Kevin Cottrell
Our eye doctor, Dr. Kevin Cottrell was raised in Lyman, Wyoming and earned a B.S. degree in Human Biology from Brigham Young University. He graduated with honors from Pacific University of Oregon and earned his Doctorate of Optometry. Dr. Cottrell completed externships at the Indian Health Hospital on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, a contact lens specialty fitting clinic in Arizona, and the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in Utah.
Following Optometry School, Dr. Cottrell and his wife settled in Longmont, CO. Dr. Cottrell is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Colorado Optometric Association. He has been serving the Longmont community’s eye needs since 2003.
Dr. Cottrell currently lives in Longmont with wife Rebecca and son Jadeyn.
On a personal note, besides being an eye doctor, Dr. Cottrell is passionate about anything in the outdoors. He and his family love hiking and camping out in the Colorado mountains and the many other beautiful wilderness areas around the country. Two of his favorite things involve parks: National Parks and Amusement parks. His family’s goal is to visit every National Park in the country.
As you tour our office, you will catch a glimpse of this passion with the beautiful photography from Dr. Cottrell and his wife from their trips in nature. Dr. Cottrell is involved in the Longmont community and even serves as a Den Leader in his son’s Cub Scout Pack!
