Alexa Gutierrez, O.D.
Dr. Alexa Gutierrez was born and raised in Western Nebraska where she attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for her undergraduate studies. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, she then traveled to Boston, MA for optometry school. In the spring of 2018, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Gutierrez practiced optometry for several years in Northern Utah and in the winter of 2022, she and her husband, Eric, moved to Longmont with their two children, Delilah and Charlie. She has loved to be closer to family and to explore Colorado with her family and two vizslas. Dr. Gutierrez is always looking for new restaurants to try, local places to shop, and good books to read.
Dr. Gutierrez enjoys connecting with new people, providing excellent eye care, and educating patients of all ages. She especially loves seeing children, and is certified to be part of the Brilliant Futures program. This is one of the only FDA options to help slow down myopia (nearsightedness) in children, and can be a huge benefit for them as they grow. She is passionate about her job and is eager to continue to see patients and their families at FocusVision!
