Dr. Kevin Cottrell, O.D.
Dr. Kevin Cottrell was raised in Lyman, Wyoming, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Brigham Young University. He went on to graduate with honors from Pacific University in Oregon, where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree.
During his training, Dr. Cottrell completed externships at an Indian Health Service hospital on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, a specialty contact lens clinic, and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. These diverse clinical experiences helped shape his comprehensive and patient-focused approach to eye care.
After completing optometry school, Dr. Cottrell and his wife, Rebecca, made their home in Longmont, Colorado. He has proudly served the Longmont community since 2003 and is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association.
Dr. Cottrell lives in Longmont with his wife and their son, Jadeyn. Outside the office, he has a deep passion for the outdoors. He and his family enjoy hiking, camping, and exploring Colorado’s mountains, as well as traveling to scenic destinations across the country. They share a goal of visiting every U.S. National Park.
As you visit the office, you’ll notice this love of nature reflected in the landscape photography displayed throughout—captured by Dr. Cottrell and his family during their adventures.
